Breathe in… and relax.
After a semi-long one-on-one chat with Jim the other day, I finally feel right about things. I feel like I’m pointed in the right direction, and that I can feel good about what I do.
So here’s to living through a lens!
“He Signs His Name With A Capital G”
Politics, politics, politics.
Photography makes me forget the world around me sometimes. It makes me forget that there is more to life than light and composition… that my country is at war. My country is at war with not only the world, but itself.
I see the evidence of war everywhere. Even if it’s just in a tattoo. It’s hard to see, but this is a tattoo of a grenade.
I’m also at war. At war with the things that I love. Photography, writing, and music. It’s becoming more and more difficult to play viola, not because my chops are falling behind, but because I have to devote less and less time to it. I’ve given up teaching, and it’s almost time to give up playing.
Don’t mind my self portrait.

So what is more fun than a tiny apartment filled with drunk people?
Having a camera in a tiny apartment filled with drunk people. I had an amazing time with my roommates last night, to whom I’ve been too busy to really get to know. It was a really great feeling hanging out with them, I’ve always wanted to have a roommate that I was really close to. Perhaps this is my chance!
This shot started out with the guy pulling up his shirt to rub his nipples at some other guy, when everyone started signing his chest.
My new roommate Allyson recently found Jesse, and the two are dating now. They’re a pretty adorable couple.
With minutes to go until midnight, Allyson decided a rave in her bedroom was in order, so we crammed about 10-12 people in this little 10×10 room, which also houses a double bed, a dresser and a desk.
And of course, what good is living together without the occasional (play) fight?
Hope everyone had a happy New Year!
